We are deeply saddened by the passing of Pierre Robert - a local legend and longtime advocate, supporter, and friend of MANNA. As a tribute to Pierre, MANNA will be commissioning a tile in our kitchen with a memorial message.
Pierre’s career with WMMR began in 1981, and for more than four decades, his signature “Greetings, Citizens!” and genuine love for music filled Philadelphia with warmth, energy, and community. From his iconic midday show to his presence at concerts across the city, Pierre’s voice became part of the heartbeat of Philly.
Beyond the music, Pierre’s generosity shone just as brightly. He championed countless causes — including our Pie in the Sky fundraiser — always using his platform to uplift and care for others! Thank you, Pierre, for your kindness, your voice, and your heart. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
