NUTRITION CAN'T WAIT

When we last wrote to you, we shared difficult news. Cuts to and uncertainty around Medicaid funding drastically reduced the healthcare reimbursement opportunities that have helped fuel MANNA’s work for a decade. Because of those cuts, we had to institute a client waitlist for the first time since 2016.

When we asked for help, you responded. Thanks to generous supporters like you, we increased our client caseload and reduced the waitlist.

But the work isn’t done. The best waitlist is no waitlist at all.

It breaks our hearts to tell clients like S.E., a 67-year-old Philadelphia resident with diabetes who just started dialysis to treat renal disease, that she must wait for MANNA’s services. No one battling illness should have to wait for the nutrition they need to heal.

That’s why we are determined to eliminate this waitlist completely.

To do it, we’ll need to raise $200,000. To kickstart this fundraising effort, generous friends of MANNA will match the first $50,000 in gifts dollar for dollar.

This match means your $25 gift becomes $50, $100 becomes $200, and your impact on our mission is doubled. A gift of any size gets us closer to where we can provide immediate support for critically ill clients like S.E.
